History of Aamby Valley
Aamby Valley was founded by Sahara India Parivar with the aim of establishing the first planned hill station in India. Under the supervision of Subrata Roy, who was the Chairman then, the acquisition of land started in 1990 and by 2016 the company had spent around INR 195 billion on the venture. Crucial aspects of life such as Santhusthi (contentment), Sukh (happiness) and Shanti (peace) was incorporated in its blueprint. Aamby Valley was shut in 2017 due to some legal issues and non-payment of dues, however, in later years it was reopened after the partial payment of loans.

The most suitable time to visit Aamby Valley is during the months starting from October to March. The weather during this time of the year remains pleasant and the temperature ranges from a maximum of 21 degrees to a minimum of 9 degrees.
