Nashik Overview
Ahivantgad along with Achala are the twin fort situated in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. The fort has a close resemblance to a wide plateau from the top. The harsh forces of nature have turned the fort into complete ruins. However, there are a few remains of the palaces left on the upper side of the fort. Within the fort premises, there are two gateways, which are now in bad shape. There is also an idol of Lord Hanuman at the fort and a few cisterns that supplied water to the residents of the fort in olden times.
