Arambol Beach, Goa Overview
Arambol beach is considered to be one of the most beautifully scenic and serene beaches of the North Goa. Though the beach is highly spectacular, it is yet not so exploited by the various activities of the tourists in sharp contrast with various other Goan beaches.
However, the vibes that the beach emanates are quite Bohemian. No wonder, tourists visit the beach from across the world. There is something for everybody. There are Yoga classes, apart from various kinds of interesting wellness pursuing activities. There may be a fortune teller or two on the tops of the hills and even the not so high hillocks. In case you do not feel like looking into the mysteries of the future at the moment, you may enjoy paragliding. Taking a leisurely stroll through the lanes of the local market is also a cool option.
Arambol beach is among the northernmost Goan beaches with Morjim beach on one side and Querim or Keri at another. There are rocks as well sand on the beach. With the jungles at one of the ends and sea on another, the beach just appears to be picturesque.
Arambol Sweet Water Lake
There is a well-known sweet water lake or lagoon in between the Arambol and the adjacent Kalacha beach. You may make an access to the lagoon, but only on foot. The waters are shallow and calm. Thus the lake is safe to swim in.
It is interesting to note that the sand here is known to have therapeutic properties. Besides, the clear waters and the soft white sand are not only good for sunbathing, but also give the beach a pleasant experience. The curved sand forms a very long stretch and that is the major part of the beach. It is an ideal place to swim in. If the spirit of adventure attracts you, you may try paragliding at a small hillock near the beach. Watching dolphins is also a pleasant experience.

It is in between November and March. The weather is so enjoyable that international tourists are also drawn towards the beach during this time.
Tips for Visiting Arambol Beach
1. You should pack your swimwear, apart from the sunscreen lotion and the sunglasses before leaving for the beach.
2. Follow the guidelines issued by the authority and also it is advisable not to go near water during the monsoons.
3. Watching the sunset at Arambol beach is a rare delight. So, it is advisable not to miss it.
4. Do not go swimming in any of the restricted areas for it is not safe.
5. Dine at the Laughing Budha shack as the food and alcohol offered here is the diners’ delight.
Arambol Beach Party and Arambol Beach Shacks
A number of the beach shacks play host to many of the happening Goan beach parties. Besides, the surrounding jungles, hammocks and the lagoon make the beach a perfect place to party. Besides, you may enjoy lively music at most of the places at and around the beach. Thus the vibes at the beach are very positive ones. Huge crowds are drawn towards Psytrance as the night parties are always upbeat here.
There are a number of shacks worth dining at including Basho’s, and Relax Inn, apart from Laughing Buddha. The Goan food served here is so delicious that you will not forget Sorpotel, Vindaloo, and Cafreal etc. You can chat with your friends the entire day and night over bear and food. If you move out for an early morning stroll, these shacks serve the morning breakfast also.

History of Arambol Beach
The beach is known to be discovered by a few of the hippies who felt like escaping the western flower power era of the 1960s. The town has been welcoming the tourists and the visitors intending to stay long looking for the peaceful solitude in the untouched terrain. The sea waters, the beautifully scenic beach, and the cliffs on the sides, make the beach worth visiting.
How to Reach Arambol Beach?
The beach is 50 km from Panaji and 30 km from Anjuna beach. You may rent a scooter or motorcycle from almost any of the guesthouses in order to reach the beach. You may also catch a taxi easily from off the main street. Travel agencies may also help you get a conveyance.
Once you reach the beach, it is best to go exploring the area on foot. Take a stroll across the beach and you will reach the Kalacha beach in a little time.
- Air: The Dabolim airport is just 60 km from the beach. You may take a taxi and reach the beach within a couple of hours.
- Rail: Pernem is the nearest train station at a distance of 11 km only from the beach. You may hire a moped or travel by means of the local transport from here to the beach.
Road: The beach is 20 km away from Mapusa, the nearest bus station. You may hire a bike or moped. However, do not forget a helmet and a drivers’ ID. NH48 connects the bus station well to Pune and Mumbai as well.
