Basistha Ashram is also Guru Vashishta it was said to have won an award for its writing the Hindu praise song of Vashishtha Ramayana (curtain closes Ramayana).
It has been established that the guru wrote this aashram and died thereafter at this very spot.
It is no wonder that this eulogy is still remembered by many as he touched lots of lives and it however remains an epic well known and sung by the various clans in india
