Speaking with one of the skilled weavers we found out that the process of creating a saree is an interesting process they start with drawing out the designs on paper and follow the designs drawn to the latter. They draw their inspiration from nature and beautiful creatures around them like, peacocks, deer, and rhinos. more often than not they get their design inspiration from one of their costumes called the Assamese hat which shows little structural characteristics of their tradition.
