These gardens were constructed during the ancient period
by the Diwan of Mysore to enhance the beauty of his area. He was moved by the
construct of Shalimar Bagh in Jammu and Kashmir which was built by the Mughal

construction of Brindavan gardens was started and completed with the help of the
department of horticulture.
In the present, the gardens are maintained by Cauvery
Irrigation Department, Government of Karnataka.
Structure of Brindavan Gardens
The huge expanse of these gardens is spread over a gigantic
area of 60 acres. Therefore, the Garden is divided into parts to know the
location. The North Brindavan gardens are the main tourist attraction because
of the trendy way in which it has been developed. The main entrance itself is a
view to behold. Its design has been taken from India Gate at New Delhi. A lot
of rose beds are added at the entrance gate.
The entry inside the garden occurs with a long pavement
which takes us inside the garden. Inside, huge terrace gardens welcome us with
