BRT Wildlife Sanctuary, BR Hills Overview
This sanctuary is home to a large variety of exotic species of flora and fauna; this wildlife sanctuary is located between Kaveri and Tungabhadra rivers, spreading over an area of 540 sq. km. and is a spot that the BR hills are popularly renowned for.
Home to a number of imperilled species living here along with a large avian population. This bounty of natural life species can be visited in the jeep, and even elephant rides are available. This place is well known for its wild elephants, gaurs, chital, sambhar, woofing deer, four-horned pronghorn. Tigers, panthers, wild pooches, lesser felines, sloth bears and Goliath flying squirrels, are likewise a part of the imperilled species found here alongside 254 types of fowls.
