Bushi Dam, Lonavala Overview
Bhushi Dam is a majestic barrier constructed across the river Indrayani and is situated close to the town of Lonavala in Maharashtra. It is one of the most visited tourist spots in the region, especially during monsoon season when the river swells up and water gushes through the rocky terrain.
The sight of water flowing over the steps of the dam is simply mesmerizing. The area around the dam is serene and serves as a perfect spot to unwind from a stressful day. The place gets very crowded and it is difficult to find a decent standing spot, however, you can visit the dam during the early hours to avoid the mob. Swimming is prohibited in the dam because of irregularity in the flow of water.
