Chikballapura is situated in the district of Chikballapura, Karnataka. It is at a distance of 57 km from the city of Bangalore in the National Highway No. 7. It is one of the educational centres and has one of the important ports of Karnataka that links in North Bangalore.
Vivekananda Waterfalls, Bhoga Nandeehwara, Yoga Nandesshwara temples, and Nandi Hills are some of the tourist attractions located here. One can go for many adventure and recreational activities at these places, out of which rock climbing, sightseeing, paragliding, trekking are popular. Enjoy trekking on all those trekking trails located in the hill that will lead you to the Tipu Fort. You will burst with euphoria once you have a look at the surrounding from the top of the hill. If you are in monsoon or post-monsoon, then you can enjoy the beauty of Jaramadagu Falls. You can’t reach this waterfall only by vehicle; rather you need to cover some distance by foot as well. You can take two ways to reach this fall, out of which one is a 1.5 km perilous trekking route whereas another is a 3km easier route. You may get tired while trekking, but the natural beauty will keep rekindling your enthusiasm every time.
If you want to go trekking and camping, then the twin hills named Kaurava and Pandava are best fit for that. You will have a memorable experience climbing the top of the hill where you can find a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. You can take your own food and water if you are planning to visit the waterfall. You can find most of the adventurous activities near the waterfall. From there, you can pay a visit to the Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple and Gudibande fort. If you want to explore Chikkaballapur, then you need at least two days. In the first day, you can explore the Nandi Hills and nearby areas, and in the second day, you can go trekking to the Jaramadagu falls and visit the places such as Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple, Vidurashwatha village, Tipu drop, and Kalyani pond.
