We welcome you to Dhemaji the green valley in the laps of Brahmaputra. I bet you are pondering what I’m pondering, Our local town name is the center for flooding
Flooded Greenland
If you did not already know of water lands spaces, here is the effect of flooding on our well managed rice farm.
The main focus for being here is just so we can learn to live new cultures and their ways, Dhemaji is inhabited by many tribes like the Kalithas, Kacharis, Sonowal amongst other Assamese tribes in the city.
Here is the beauty of the floody pathways, also the rice farm has largely verse water extensions to the other side.
It might interest you to know that you can cultivate the very best of neat Indian rice in Dhemaji as it is an open land suitable for farm exploration.
The Indigenes
Some Indigenous tribes like deori, laloong, mising, konch are part of the Inhabitants who play a very important role in the cultural growth and development of the countries most valued culture and religious beliefs.
The Culture
Each tribe has it own leader and similar cultural beliefs with absolutely no dispersions hence it’s the perfect ground for exploring new practices and has so far been open to tourists visiting the town.
The Food Culture
Dhemaji has very nice traditional meals amongst many Assamese special locally made food
The tribe district has local meals with savory tastes like potato mash (pitika), dal, xaak bhaji (green leaves fry) are special delicacy and many others.
One of the food cultures is to mostly eat the tamul ( a special nut called betel nut )
It is done as an offering as a mark of respect for the tourist visiting as it is a norm of the Assamese.
Right now, we will leave Dhemaji , and head to Gerakamukh which is 44KM ahead.

Especially now that it’s we have been able to make do with some few important places, we did have a lovely view of the Dhemaji flooding center space, trust me I enjoyed the wind blowing up with all it’s sizzling breezeway down to the River Bank of the Brahmaputra plains
The seasoned pikita at the local restaurant that was delicious and healthy.
And of course the solitary paradise has some nice block view, It’s not too short distance from here and we did rest for a while but tomorrow we will visit the Gerukamukh temple,
Explore the beautiful Ghughua Dol and Maa Manipuri.

Here is the temple of the ancient Malini-Than.

Malini-Than is a holy place of worship and that’s why people come from far away to seek the Bliss
