It is also known as Dorothy’s Seat since the palace was designed in the memory of Dorothy Kellett, a popular English artist of that era. The construction project of the palace was managed by his spouse Col JP Kellett, an army officer. Surrounding Dorothy’s Seat is natural and fresh trees of Oak, Deodar, and Cher. Tourists love to capture the picturesque view from the top of the hill. You can also spot the charming Kumaon Hills and pristine Naini Lake from Tiffin Top. If you schedule a visit to this attraction on bright, sunny days, you will get a chance to capture the magnificent view of Nanda Devi.
Dorothy’s Seat is famous for trekking, sightseeing, photography, and hiking. Tourists can also opt for horse riding here (it costs approx 500-700 INR per person).
