The Durshet Forest Lodge is situated amidst the dense forest of Sahyadri Range and is spread over an area of about 35 acres. The place is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, bird-watchers and photographers. Known for its scenic beauty, the lodge is surrounded by teak and silver oak trees.
There is also a waterfall and a river named Kundalika that flows through the thickets of Durshet. The sight of water gushing down the waterfall during the monsoon months is enchanting. Here, you can carry out various adventurous activities such as river rafting in Kundalika river, mountain biking around the hills and scouting the Umbarkhind battlefield. The Durshet Forest Lodge is an excellent stop while going on rafting in the Kundalika River. It is a beautiful lodge that is situated in the middle of a dense forest. With Amba River flowing right next to the resort, the view of the surroundings is simply mesmerizing.
The lodge comprises 11 rooms, 13 tents,4 dormitories, a conference room, a swimming pool, and a common dining hall which is open from 8:30 am to 11:00 pm. All rooms have attached bathrooms and the resort also has an excellent dining facility that offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The resort houses a swimming pool where you can relax and unwind from a stressful day.
