Durshet is a beautiful village situated on the banks of Amba River and is nestled amidst the greenery of Sahyadri hills in Maharashtra. Durshet lies in close proximity to major cities such as Pune and Mumbai and subsequently, it serves as a major weekend escapade for the residents of these cities.
The village is located very near to the expressway that connects Pune and Mumbai and is world-famous for the historic battleground of Umbarkhind where Shivaji and his forces defeated the British armies in late 17th century.
