We have been discussing places to visit in Sualkuchi, one place that shouldn’t be left out is The Ganesh Bigrah- as far back as the 11th century, this temple was established by king on the throne at the moment, he was known as Ratnapal.
You can find the Ganesh temple very near the hills of Ghatia. In the temple, there are accurately designed idols, that are very hard to miss one of which is located just at the forefront of the temple, that of Bedi of Manasha Puja. There is also that of Lord Ganesha, Har-Gouri and also Shivalinga.
You should also see an idol made of copper of Lord Krishna which is most likely over 10 inches.
The Ganesh temple is almost always celebrating one festival or the other, most especially during the days of the three -Sankranti, Saon and Bhada.
