Gangabal Trek
The Gangabal trek is of immense religious importance in the Hindu religion. It is also known as Harmuk Ganga and is located at a height of 3570 m above sea level. The lake is famous for the plenty of fish it holds. The most famous of which is the rainbow trout fish.
From Sonamarg, you can reach the Gangabal trek via the Krishnasar and Vishansar routes. The trek offers you some exquisite views of the valley. The trekking routes are taken up by tourists usually during the months from July to October. The fishing season is open from March to October.
