Institute of Mural Painting, Guruvayur Overview
The institution is situated at the Guruvayur temple’s eastern gate. It was founded by Shri MammiyoorKrishnankutty, a famous mural painter. The institute was established in 1989 and is looked after by GuruvayurDevaswom.
The institution offers a Diploma of five years in the Kerala style of the mural painting, sculpture and art, and aesthetics. The teaching system is based on the traditional Gurukula methods.
