Kainchi Dham, Nainital Overview
Located at a distance of 17 kilometers from Nainital, Uttarakhand, Kainchi Dham is a modern pilgrim destination for Nainital tourists. It stands at an elevation of 1400 meters above the sea level and is devoted to Shree Neem Karoli Baba, a popular Hindu spiritual leader who was known for being a true devotee of Lord Hanuman. Neem Karoli Baba is also recognized for performing lots of unbelievable miracles in his life. The Ashram is managed and operated by Shri Ma, the follower of Shree Neem Karoli Baba. Tourists are only allowed to pay a visit to Kainchi Dham Ashram in the presence of Shri Ma.
The Ashram boasts serenity and solitude as it is located in the foothills, away from the city’s crowd. You will also spot the Hanuman Temple that is constructed on the Ashram’s premises. All devotees, who decide to stay at Ashram, are supposed to participate in the morning and evening prayers that happen every day on the premises. On 15th June, the Ashram celebrates Pratishtha Divas, in which, hundreds of thousands of devotees are served Prasad. In fact, there is huge traffic on Kainchi Dham road on Pratishtha Divas. The government has to make special arrangements for visitors during this time.
