Kalaseeshwara Temple, Horanadu Overview
Kalaseeshwara Temple is located in temple city of Kalasa at a distance of 92km from the southwest of Chikmagalur. This temple is surrounded by the Bhadra river from the three sides and is dedicated to the prominent Hindu God, Lord Shiva. An annual festival is celebrated in the form of a marriage ceremony of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
The temple town of Kalasa is famous for producing tea, coffee and spices. Kalaseeshwara Temple is the most important temple here but there are other temples situated in the vicinity; some of them are Hanuman Temple, Girijamba Temple, Venkataramana Temple, Vasishta Ashrama, Ranjal Mahalakshmi Temple, and Shri Chandranatha Swamy Temple.
