Kashid serves as the perfect spot for camping for those residing in Mumbai. You can associate with camping groups if you aren’t looking to camp alone. The white sand beach, cool ambience, lush greenery and night sky dotted with stars makes Khasid a perfect camping location. You will have a memorable experience setting up tents, relaxing around the beach, enjoying the bonfire and beach games and savouring the barbeque dinner. The camping groups that operate usually charge between INR 1800 to INR 2000 per person.
Restaurants and Local Food in Kashid
There are number of food joints and eateries situated at the Khasid beach. You will be delighted to savour mouth-watering Konkani, South-Indian, North-Indian, and Continental cuisines.
Few of the popular delicacies in the region are Sol-Kadhi, Kombadi-Wade, Kelphoola-chi bhajji Jackfruit bhajji, Kurkuronbombeel, and Ambole. If you want to go an extra mile ahead and enjoy your stay at Kashid by drinking alcohol then you will have to travel 4 km away towards Murud to access a liquor store. There are no bars near to the beach, however, you can carry your own drink to the beach.
Travel Itinerary
Day 1- Check into the hotel and freshen up. After breakfast, head to Kashid beach and spend your day relaxing and partaking in various water sports.
Day 2- On the second day, head to Phansad Bird Sanctuary. You will be delighted to spot a variety of beautiful at this place. Later in the day, you can head out to nearby local markets for shopping.
Day 3- You can visit few of the historical sites situated near Kashid such as Korlai Fort, located 11 km away from the town and Murud Janjira Fort, situated 14 km from Kashid.
