Kaziranga national park tourism
Kaziranga is a national park that is located in a region called Golaghat and the Nagaon districts of the state of Assam in India. This shelter presently accommodates two-thirds of the world’s greatest one-horned rhinoceroses. It is commonly referred to as a World Heritage Site. Kaziranga is an enormous range of elephant grass and moist broadleaf forests which are crisscrossed by 4 major rivers. The park is openly available for tourists to visit and hosts several other amazing animals such as Bengal foxes, hog deer, Indian wild boar, Chinese ferret badger, civets, sloth bears, Swamp deer, Ganges and Indus river dolphin, elephants, orange-bellied Himalayan squirrel, wild buffalos, leopards, flying squirrels and much more.
Kaziranga’s land is very fertile with the sedimentary soil caused by erosion and the deposition of the famous river known as the Brahmaputra River. Therefore, making it qualified for agricultural growth in the suburbs of the park.
Fauna in Kaziranga National park
Kaziranga actually has a very favourable atmosphere for countless species such as leopards, jungle cat, Bengal tigers and many others. Due to its many wildcats, it was declared a tiger reserve in 2006, since then the population of tigers enhanced enormously in Kaziranga, which is why it is referred as one of the highest tiger density zones.
There are a lot of other wild animals residing in this forest such as Assamese macaque, Chinese Pangolin, Bengal fox, hog badger, golden jackal, Hoolock gibbon, Indian grey mongoose, sloth, Indian Pangolin, golden langur, and many others who enrich the wildlife of Kaziranga.
Approximately more than 400 species of exotic birds can be spotted in Kaziranga park. Some of them are Black-necked Stork, White-fronted Goose, Greater Adjutant, Ferruginous Duck,
Safari Zones in Kaziranga National park
The National Park is divided into the four different tourism zones which are the Central Safari Zone in Kaziranga, the Western Safari Zone, also known as the Bagori Zone, The Eastern Safari Zone which is also called the Agaratoli Zone and the Burapahar safari Zone. In the western and central zone, you can see the elephants being organized while the jeep is usually arranged in every zone.
Available to tourists are guided tours by elephant or Jeep. Tourists are also allowed in the park to take their own vehicles while being accompanied by guides.
