Availability of water
Well, since you are going to visit the streams here which are really fresh and pure, so water is available at all times here, but it is strongly recommended to carry a water bottle with you for safety purpose.
Trek Routes
Kudremukh has a number of trekking routes depending on which one you choose. Some are extremely difficult while some are not so, choose according to your comfort and company. You can easily avail the accommodation from nearby.Jeep facility is also availablefrom Kalasa villagefor you to hire to trek to the base camp at Mullodi. To reach there, you need to start with a 30-40 minute long drive one can note the landmarks for identification like Somavathi falls or there is locals’ house at the left.
How to Reach Kudremukh Peak Trek
There are two ways to reach the Kudremukh trek that is:
- By Rail: you can board a train from Mangalore which is around 130kilometres from the Kudremukh trek.
- By Road: it is considered as the best way to reach the trek by boarding a bus from Bangalore to Kalasa and then you can board another bus from Kalasa to Balegal.
