Kundapur Tourism
Kundapur is a town which emanates rich culture and beauty through its nature and spirituality. It is located on the WestCoast and is surrounded by water on all three sides, that is, Panchgangavalli River in the north, Kalaghar River in the east and the Arabian sea and the Kodi backwaters in the west.
It gets its name from the Kundeshvara temple and has glory attached to it. The Vijaya Nagara dynasty is known to have had its base here. Tipu Sultan and other Kings during the 16th century have lived here too.
It is known to be a major port for trades with the Middle East. Activities like hiking, trekking and boating make it a good tourist destination.
The Vinayak temple- Guddattu and Sri Aanegudde Vinayak temple attracts religious tourists from different parts of the world.
