Nandi Hills is situated at a distance of 10 km from the city of Chikballapur, Karnataka. You need to go off the Highway 74 from the south of Chikballapur to reach Nandi Hills. However, you have to fathom an extra 7 km in order to reach the top of the hill from the foothills.
There is a botanical garden situated on the top of the hill, and you will get the best bird’s eye view of the surrounding area from the top of the hill. Another name of Nandi Hill is Nandidurga fort due to the fort built by Tipu Sultan.

The entry to this fort for people is prohibited to this fort. However, you can take a glance at it from outside.

5.Secret Escape Route –
There is a secret passage to the west, which was considered to be the way to escape during the attack.
