Panchpula, Dalhousie Overview
A swathe of greenery, the fresh fragrance of pine and deodar, and a waterfall, Panchpula is an idyllic picnic spot in close proximity to Dalhousie. Here five streams come together to gush out and is the main source of water to the neighbourhoods of Dalhousie. The origin of the main stream is from the Dain Kund and is a balm for your eyes. The sight is well known for its grandeur and also for a trekking route.
A mausoleum is erected near Panchpula to commemorate the great revolutionary, Sardar Ajit Singh, who was the uncle of martyr Bhagat Singh, since he had died here. During monsoon, the bubbling, sparkling water of the stream is fascinating sight which leaves the tourist dumbfounded.

How to reach Panchpula Panchpula is only 3.5 kms from Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie. Buses or cabs are available. But, a gentle walk down the road will give the traveller an opportunity to enjoy the sights and smells of the hills which will etch in their memory for a long time to come.
