Rock-climbing, Savandurga: Overview
The terrain of Savandurga is characterized by monolithic rock formation thereby making it suitable for rock climbing. However, rock climbing needs prior permission from the authorities and also a short training for the amateur climbers.
On top of the rock, there is a fort and a temple is situated at the base of the hill. The temple is dedicated to Sri Narasimhaswamy, Sri Veerabhadraswamy, and Sri Basaveswara and a large number of devotees visit the temple.
