Shettyhalli Church, Hassan Overview
Shettyhalli Church was built in the 18th century on the riverbank of Hemavathi. It is also called the Shettyhalli submerged church because it is submerged in water all throughout the year except in summer days when the water dried up and you can see this Church completely.
It would be interesting for you to know that unlike other churches, here you can witness a prayer with candlelight once in a year. This Church is a prime example of Gothic architecture.
