Swayambhu Ganpati Temple, Ganapatipule Overview
Swayambhu Ganapati Temple is a 400-year-old Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is built of white sand and is believed to be self-created by Lord Ganesha himself and was supposedly discovered 1600 years ago.
The temple resonates of rhythmic beats and melodious hymns every morning and evening. As a ritual, the idol of Ganesha is bathed and dressed in new attire every morning. This shrine attracts a lot of tourists during the festival of Ganesh Chathurti and Diwali celebrated during the months of September and October/ November respectively.
