Uppinakudru, Kundapur Overview
Uppinakudru, also known as Salt Island, is a place of rich cultural heritage. It was a centre for trading salt and seafood. It also houses some of the most renowned temples like Lord Gopala Krishna Temple. The oldest temple in the area is the Lord Vasudeva Temple. The Siddhi Vinayaka Temple attracts a number of pilgrims throughout the year. It also has a number of mutts like Lord Lakshminarayana Mutt, Ganapathi Mutt and Gopinath Mutt.
