Vagator beach is located in the Bardez Taluka. It is the northernmost beach at Bardez. It is 21 km from Panaji. The sand is a soft beautiful white. But there are rocky cliffs. The beach comprises two parts viz., Little Vagator (Ozran Beach) and Big Vagator.
The Vagator cliff offers a stunningly beautiful view of the sea. But the beach attracts tourists because of an interesting variety of dining options also. Moreover, the vibes at the parties and the beach shacks are so upbeat that even the most depressed of the souls is likely to feel cheerful.
It’s chiefly because of the Vagator’s cuisine culture that multitudes of travelers are attracted towards the beach. Thalassa, an artistic, quaint, and Greek themed restaurant is quite famous due to the beach seatings and the gourmet. Apart from Thalassa, you may visit various other places for gourmet that offer both local as well as international food. The Vagator beach that is serenely quiet during the days comes to life with lively music and dance after the Sun sets. Primrose, Hilltop, and Nine Bar entertain the crowds after the Sun sets with DJs and lively music of various types from across the globe. Besides, Mango Tree Bar & Restaurant, Disco Valley and Mezcal Restaurant are open even till the early mornings. The visitors can dance to the music all night.

A headland breaks the Vagator beach into two parts. The beach towards the right of the headland (if you stand there facing the sea) is the North Vagator Beach (also called Big Vagator Beach).
Towards the left lies the Ozran beach, also known as Little Vagator Beach.
There are two fresh water springs, apart from quite a few dramatic cliffs at the Vagator beach. There are huge black rocks and Coconut and Palm trees across the beach. The sunset over the rocks is awesome. The beach, unlike most of the other beaches, presents both the sands as well as the rocks. You may enjoy a stroll over the sands or sit at the rocks and watch the waves.

The beach presents the tourists with many opportunities to enjoy and have fun. You can enjoy with your kith and kin.
- Water sports: You may choose from dolphin sighting tours, parasailing, Jet Ski motor rides etc. But try swimming only when you are highly confident of your swimming skills for there are no lifeguards around. You may also go trekking till the top of the Chapora fort and enjoy the expanded scenic view of the Morjim and Vagator beaches.
2. Leisure activities: Shop at the stores on the roadside or visit a shack and read your favourite novel over there. There are also a number of Mediterranean and Indian cafes. The meals and drinks are just great and the ambience is highly positive.

The climate is highly pleasant from November to February, whereas during most of the months, the beach is hot and humid.
How to Reach Vagator Beach?
The North Goan beach is 21 km from the Goan capital, Panaji and 9 km from Mapusa. Bike taxis and ordinary taxis are very common in Goa. But most of the visitors prefer to rent a bike from the authorized travel agencies or the vendors. The daily rent for a bike may vary in between INR 350 – 600. You may catch a local bus as well from Panaji or Mapusa. The fare lies in between INR 15 – 50.
